OUR STORY

BETHSABEA was founded on the belief that dressing is a personal legacy, a lifelong promise to be yourself with confidence, elegance, and unapologetic femininity. Each piece is crafted to reflect that vision, with sculptural silhouettes that allow you to feel both feminine and powerful.

At the heart of BETHSABEA’s philosophy is a commitment to empowerment that extends beyond the wardrobe. For every piece sold, we plan to support educational initiatives and opportunities for women. Because empowerment should fit every woman, not just her closet.

The Launch
Moving Forward

The Beginning

BETHSABEA began with something I felt for a long time but struggled to find in clothing.

So much of what was available seemed to ask women to choose between extremes: pieces that were beautifully feminine but too stiff to feel natural, or styles that were oversized, or so trend-led they left little room for individuality.

I wanted something in between that could bring a sense of confidence the moment you put it on.

That became the foundation of BETHSABEA.

The name BETHSABEA, meaning daughter of the oath, reflects what dressing has always meant to me. Returning to yourself with intention. Choosing pieces that feel aligned with who you are, and who you are becoming.

Each design is created to move through different chapters of life with you: made to hold its place in your wardrobe beyond a single season.

Because what you wear should never ask you to disappear into sameness. It should remind you of your own shape, your own strength, and your own story.

The Samples

The first samples arrived looking close to what I had imagined: beautifully shaped and materially strong. But they still lacked the ease I knew they needed.

And that mattered, because beauty should never feel unnatural to wear.

From the beginning, I believed that design should never ask you to fit yourself into someone else’s idea of beauty. The piece should do that work.

So we returned to the patterns, adjusted proportions, softened construction where needed, and moved through multiple rounds of sampling until the balance felt honest: structure that still allowed ease and femininity that never felt forced.

Because what you wear should never tell you who to become, only return you to what was always yours.

The Debut Fashion Show

Before BETHSABEA officially launches, the first collection was presented publicly during WALK27, a charity fashion show hosted by the WALK Magazine at the University of Pennsylvania.

This experience felt deeply personal. I walked the runway wearing one of the first completed looks from the collection, after months of seeing the pieces only through fittings, fabric swatches, and quiet revisions behind the scenes.

From the beginning, the intention was never simply to create pieces that look beautiful in photographs or exist for a single moment. The goal was to design clothing that feels personal to wear and expressive without overpowering you. Pieces that feel like they belong to you, rather than pieces you have to become someone else to wear.

What stayed with me most, though, was the purpose behind the event itself. Knowing the collection was a part of a charity initiative deepened the connection between fashion and impact, and reinforced the belief that clothing can carry meaning beyond appearance alone.

That experience continues to shape BETHSABEA today: the belief that fashion becomes most meaningful when it leaves an impact beyond what is seen.

The Launch

The first collection was designed as a beginning, but also as a way of understanding how BETHSABEA should live in a wardrobe.

Rather than creating pieces that stand apart from one another, I wanted the first designs to feel connected, each one carrying the same visual language, balance of structure and softness, and the same sense of definition.

The corset top, tailored trousers, blazer, mermaid silhouette, and shorter dresses were all developed to move together, allowing each piece to be worn differently without losing the feeling of cohesion.

What mattered most was creating a collection that offered more than individual looks. It needed to feel like the beginning of a personal signature: pieces you can rewear, combine, and make memorable in your own way.

The Future

As BETHSABEA grows, I want what we build to extend beyond the pieces themselves.

For every piece purchased, we intend to contribute toward initiatives that create opportunities for women through education, support for female-owned businesses, and other forms of long-term empowerment.

What we wear can shape how we feel, but its meaning should not end there. In time, I want BETHSABEA to become not only a wardrobe you return to, but a brand that contributes to the futures women are building for themselves.

Empowerment should fit every woman, not only her wardrobe.
